The Stakeholder & Community Relations Manager is responsible for enhancing the CPB Contractors’ Stakeholder & Community discipline as part of the Public Affairs and Corporate Communications function.

This critical role is accountable for elevating best practice Community Engagement, building consistency across our regional teams as the disciplines lead Subject Matter Expert, while also leading CPB Contractors’ network of Stakeholder & Community professionals to engage, celebrate, inform and promote the work we do as an industry leader.

Leveraging a considered strategic approach, combined with highly effective tactical delivery, this role also actively contributes to our work-winning efforts through content creation and review processes, co-ordination of resources to support critical tenders, and, on occasion, participation in client workshops as the discipline’s leading subject matter expert.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in public sector, community development, engagement or other similar discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying the methodologies, principles and practice of community engagement or community development.
  • Strong written and editing skills with the ability to align messaging with key themes.
  • High level project management experience in complex and developing environments, with an active commitment to collaborative thinking and practice and a desire to work in a dynamic and diverse environment to create great community outcomes.
  • Strong relationship building and proven interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, support, challenge and influence.
  • Experience engaging internal stakeholders to problem solve to provide pragmatic, best practice solutions and tactics to address business issues.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working within the discipline or in a similar role on major infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience developing content for a range of communication channels and platforms, including online and digital.
  • Experience and skills in both internal and external communication.
  • Able to work effectively in lead, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a complex business environment and with agency relationship management experience.

This role supports the CPB Contractors business across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and will be based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne.
