Your Opportunity

CPB Contractors is working on a large rail and infrastructure project as part of building Queensland’s future. This project will play an important role during the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games while delivering improvements for everyday Queenslanders by providing more frequent and reliable services around Southeast Queensland.

Reporting to the Integration Manager, responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Project Team in preparing for Project Start-Up and set the project management system up with the Completions deliverables
  • Drive commitment and accountability for quality among the project team – ‘right first time’
  • Communicate and make aware the project quality objectives and targets to all Project personnel engaged on the Project
  • Ensure all works and systems/procedures comply with ISO 9001:2015 requirements

Planning

  • Establish and maintain the Project EDMS Teambinder with respect to the project quality & completion management requirements
  • Be involved in all pre-commencement meetings and conduct audit of supplier or subcontractor quality documentation during the procurement phase of the project
  • Ensure that design documentation and approvals are received prior to works commencing

Quality Control

  • Administer the hold and witness points process and approve as required
  • Ensure that nonconforming items are rectified or addressed through Non-conformance Reports (NCRs) taking into account durability, safety and environment aspects

Compliance Management

  • Undertake regular reviews of the quality management system to ensure continuous improvement within the system, updating documentation and distributing them as these improvements occur
  • Develop and maintain a project audit schedule, inclusive of quality, OH&S, environment, financial/administration, subcontractors, external and third party audits

Completion and Close Out

  • Manage completion and close out programme
  • Manage the compilation of handover documentation to occur progressively and within the contractual timeframes
  • Ensure all works are defect free and handover documentation is successfully completed within the contractual timeframes

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Degree in a discipline that develops critical thinking skills such as Engineering or Science or Trade qualification in a discipline related to construction
  • Minimum of 15-20 years’ experience at a senior level on projects
  • Multi-discipline contract experience
  • Lead Quality Auditor (essential)
  • High level communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Solid people and relationship management skills
  • High level writing skills
  • Good presentation skills with ability to demonstrate and train others
