Myer is looking for an Internal Communications Advisor to support the coordination and delivery of internal communication strategies that strengthen culture and align team members with the company’s direction, policies and strategic initiatives. This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape Myer’s internal storytelling, helping to engage and inform team members across the business through clear, consistent and impactful messaging.
About the role:
- Develop and work with various parts of the Myer Group to support a range of internal communications projects and programs.
- Develop and roll out an integrated communications plan to help drive awareness about Myer Group’s strategy.
- Develop informed, concise and well-structured communication content for a range of communication channels including intranet, our internal social media content platform and email.
- Work with a range of stakeholders to develop new and creative ways to tell the Myer Group story to our people in an engaging way.
- Oversee the creation and production of regular communication activities, eg Team Communications, Town Halls and other events.
- Work with the wider Corporate Affairs and PR team to showcase the strength of Myer Group team members across internal and external channels.
- May be required to assist Corporate Affairs and PR with media relations/PR during busy trading periods.
- Ad hoc responsibilities as required.
About you:
- More than four years’ internal communications experience preferably in a medium to large corporate environment.
- Able to simplify complex business programs and projects in an engaging and easily understood way.
- Clear and concise writing ability and ability to think creatively to develop internal communications plans and programs.
- Confidence to work with a range of stakeholders across the Myer Group.
- Skills into multimedia production and intranet development an advantage.
