Myer is looking for a Strategy Analyst to support the development and execution of the Group’s strategic agenda and corporate plan. Reporting to the Strategy Execution Manager and Head of Strategy, this role will be instrumental in shaping key initiatives through rigorous market research, detailed data analysis and the creation of business models that evaluate strategic opportunities. The Strategy Analyst will work cross-functionally to ensure alignment with approved business case metrics, oversee the balanced scorecard and deliver insights and recommendations that drive measurable outcomes across the Myer Group.

About the role:

  • Support the Head of Strategy and Strategy Execution Manager in developing, executing and monitoring the corporate strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with transformation objectives and long-term goals.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of a multi-year strategic planning cycle, including the coordination and facilitation of regular strategy workshops with the Executive Management Team (EMT).
  • Collaborate with the Head of Strategy, Commercial Finance, and senior leaders to develop and embed a robust methodology for measuring and tracking the performance of key strategic initiatives, including the Balanced Scorecard.
  • Liaise with business units to ensure timely and consistent reporting of Balanced Scorecard metrics, enabling proactive tracking of strategic initiatives and early identification of deviations from plan.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse internal and external data to develop key insights to support long term planning and operational strategy development.
  • Partner with departments across the organisation to gather insights and ensure strategic initiatives are aligned and executed in accordance with agreed business case metrics.
  • Support the Head of Strategy and commercial finance teams to develop and deliver business cases that align with corporate strategy and deliver measurable value.
  • Contribute to major cross-functional projects (e.g., M&A, divestments, digital transformation), ensuring alignment with long-term value creation.
  • Champion a culture of innovation by supporting the development and implementation of new ideas, frameworks, and approaches that drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for strategy check-ins, workshops, and strategic reviews with the Executive Management Team and functional leaders.
  • Partner closely with operational subject matter experts to develop ad-hoc structured analysis, risk frameworks and reporting as required.

About you:

  • Experience in supporting or developing corporate strategies, strategic roadmaps, or transformation programs, with exposure to executive-level reporting.
  • Operate with a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset with an ability to anticipate industry trends, identify new opportunities, drive innovation that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Experience in financial modelling, business case development and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and levels, including close collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Skilled in distilling complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Proactive and hands-on, with a strong inclination to engage in discussions, undertake detailed and highly varied analysis and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles, with the ability to assess business cases and investment opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to support members of the strategy team to conduct strategic workshops with senior stakeholders—driving alignment, generating insights, and translating discussion into actionable outcomes.
  • Highly organised with strong analytical capabilities and a structured, logical approach to solving complex business problems.
