The Planning Team at Myer is seeking two Planning Assistants to join our Merchandise Planning function and support the delivery of a compelling, profitable customer offer aligned with the Myer Merchandise strategy. These opportunities sit within the Intimate Apparel and Menswear teams, and applicants will be considered for both roles. In this position, you will analyse business performance and trends to optimise inventory and maximise profit, while also managing deals and supporting key commercial decisions.
About the roles:

Planning and analysis including in-season and post season on supplier delivery performance and stock health; and in season reporting and analysis for the business on service levels

Commercial stock management, supporting the wider team on actions regarding stock health, assortment planning, working with key stakeholders

Accountable for the buyership’s deal management

Accountable for weekly reporting, trade analysis and ad hoc reports

Collaboration with planning team to build and deliver a customer focused range and delivers on key metrics such as Sales, GP and option productivity

Work collaboratively with the inventory team with regards to product performance including, item planning, allocation of advertised merchandise, inventory levels and stock turn, supplier delivery performance

Demonstrated understanding of the market, customer segmentation, trends and competitive landscape
About you:

Experienced in analysing and interpreting data to make in-season and future recommendations

A strategic thinker with the ability to forecast, as well as obtaining a strong financial, analytical and business acumen

Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and drive efficiency

Strength with computer technology and systems skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

Able to proactively interact and build relationships with key stakeholders within the business

Have a flexible, open-minded approach to achieving own objectives whilst supporting the achievement of broader team objectives

Bachelor degree/diploma in one of the following fields would be preferable but not essential: Fashion Merchandise Management, Commerce, Marketing, Retail Management, Business Management, Economics, Commerce
