The Marketing Team is seeking an Art Director to translate the creative strategy set by the Fashion Creative Director into compelling, high-quality visual concepts across campaigns and content for Myer Group. This is a hands-on creative role that bridges strategic direction and production execution, bringing brand stories to life through photoshoots, video, and social-first content.

About the role:

• Lead end-to-end art direction for photoshoots and video productions, from initial brief through to final delivery.
• Oversee all on-set creative decisions including set design, talent direction, styling, lighting and composition to uphold brand standards.
• Partner with videographers and editors to shape video content from concept through to final cut, ensuring brand alignment at every stage.
• Develop social-first creative executions across Instagram, TikTok and other digital channels.
• Translate creative strategy into distinct and ownable visual concepts aligned with each brand's identity, values and seasonal direction.
• Produce compelling shoot briefs, mood boards and visual references that clearly communicate the creative vision to internal teams and external partners.
• Work closely with graphic designers, digital editors and producers to ensure smooth, high-quality creative execution across all projects.
• Partner with content and social teams to ensure creative output is optimised for each platform, format and audience.
• Collaborate with Category Marketing and Buying teams to ensure creative concepts reflect in-season priorities and commercial objectives.
• Ensure visual consistency across all creative touchpoints campaign, editorial, digital, social, in-store and wholesale.

About you:

• 6+ years' experience in art direction within fashion, retail or lifestyle agency or in-house.
• Proven track record leading photographic and video productions from concept through to delivery.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality visual storytelling across stills, moving image and social content.
• Solid understanding of social-first content formats and what resonates across Instagram, TikTok and digital channels.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); experience with Premiere Pro or After Effects advantageous.
• Experience developing mood boards, shoot briefs and visual concepts for both internal and external audiences.
• Strong communication and presentation skills — confident articulating creative ideas to stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent productions in a fast-paced retail or fashion environment.
• A deep understanding of the Australian fashion and retail landscape is highly desirable.
