Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence and change readiness? Airservices Australia is seeking a dynamic Operations Readiness Lead to support the Chief Aerodromes Officer (CAO) and Chief Airspace and Network Officer (CANO) in supporting their business functions for successful implementation of new systems, processes, and projects.

The Role & The Team

As the Operations Readiness Lead – Aerodromes, Airspace and Network, you’ll play a pivotal role in preparing operational teams for change across critical programs of work. Working closely with the Chief Aerodromes Officer (CAO) and Chief Airspace and Network Officer (CANO), you’ll lead readiness planning, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation to ensure seamless integration of new initiatives. 

You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership team committed to safety, performance, and cultural transformation—helping shape the future of Australia’s aviation network. 

As the Operations Readiness Lead, you will: 

- Develop and implement readiness plans aligned with operational goals. 

- Ensure teams and processes are equipped to absorb and sustain change. 

- Coordinate readiness milestones and ‘go live’ criteria with operational leaders. 

- Lead post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. 

- Collaborate with senior leaders and cross functional teams to drive strategic alignment and cultural transformation.

The Person 

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and natural relationship builder, with strong planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll bring proven experience in managing complex change, influencing senior leaders, and driving operational readiness. A high level of initiative, business insight, and the ability to work effectively in dynamic environments are essential, along with a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 

The successful applicant will have: 

- Tertiary qualifications in business management, finance, or a related field (desirable). 

- Exceptional planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities.  

- Business insight and understanding of government processes and governance.  

- Ability to influence, coach, and support senior leadership teams.
