Citic Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Workshop - Mechanical Fitter to support our Processing team on a permanent 2/1 Dayshift only roster, FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Mechanical Workshop Supervisor this role is responsible for but not limited to:

• Overhauling all fixed plant equipment within a workshop environment, in a safe and efficient manner within the normal scope of the trade.
• Support production targets by optimisation of equipment availability by ensuring all area mechanical equipment is overhauled in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete Pre-Start of all vehicles used daily that enables you to carry out your duties
• Complete checks and inspections of fixed plant equipment, including servicing and repair of plant equipment.

Successful applicants will have:

• Mechanical Fitter or Fitter/Machinist Trade Qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of fixed plant workshop maintenance in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
• Experience with rebuilding, NPE, Cornell, Godwin, Truflo pumps highly desirable.
• Overhauling large and small reduction gearbox’s
• Overhauling Weir, Metso and KSB pump barrels
• Overhauling of knife valves.
• Good fault-finding skills.
• A current Drivers Licence
• EWP, Forklift, Riggers & HR licence highly desirable.
• SAP experience
