The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is currently recruiting for an experience Engineer – Mechanical to be part of the Concentrator (Dry Area) Maintenance team at our Cape Preston Operations. This role is permanent, FIFO from Perth on a 2/1 roster.

Reporting through to the Area Manager – Dry Area, this role is responsible for tasks associates with the technical review and inspection of maintenance of the concentrator’s area assets, to increase plant reliability and availability. You will provide high level maintenance expertise, project management and reliability / continuous improvement skills to the dry area – primary crushers, conveyor systems and chute repairs. You will work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams, providing your engineering expertise across day-to-day operations, shutdown work and routine / breakdown maintenance situations, to ensure smooth operations of processing equipment. You will apply your reliability and continuous improvement skills in facilitating root cause analysis, defect elimination and maintenance optimisation (RCM) sessions. You will be the owner of a broad range of minor capital and maintenance projects.

We are seeking applications from individuals with significant fixed plant maintenance experience in a similar role, preferably from within the resources sector. You will have an engineering degree and be technically advanced in mechanical maintenance. You will bring a continuous improvement methodology along with advanced leadership, PC literacy, interpersonal skills and you must be able to work autonomously. Bilingualism (English / Mandarin) will be highly regarded.

You will also demonstrate experience in RCA processes.  Experience in computerised reliability, inventory and maintenance management systems such as SAP will be highly regarded.
