The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking an exceptional academic to take on a vital education-focused role within our elite teaching faculty. This Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) position in Genome Analytics offers an outstanding opportunity to lead and innovate within Monash’s Masters of Genome Analytics program. This program prepares graduates to meet the fast-growing need for experts in genome sequencing data analysis, particularly in the diagnosis of inherited and infectious diseases.
As a key member of the teaching and research community at Monash, you will drive educational excellence and contribute to curriculum development, unit coordination, and both online and face-to-face instruction. This role requires a passionate educator with extensive experience in genomics, particularly in genome curation or diagnostic genomics.

Qualifications & Skills:
- A doctoral qualification (or equivalent) in genomics or a related field, with significant accredited clinical diagnostics, industry or academic experience
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical genome diagnostics and variant curation and clinical laboratory report writing
- Strong publication record in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to fostering a collaborative academic environment
- A passion for teaching excellence, including curriculum design, innovative teaching practices, and mentorship
