The Opportunity

The Department is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the multidisciplinary team led by Professor Jess Frith, an expert in biomaterials, tissue engineering, and microfabrication. This position will focus on the development of novel hydrogel biomaterials for microfabrication and tissue engineering applications to investigate cell mechanobiology.

As a member of this dynamic team, you will:

  • Lead and contribute to innovative research projects.
  • Assist in mentoring and supervising students.
  • Support the development and delivery of teaching focused on biomaterials for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A doctoral qualification in biomaterials science, bioengineering, tissue engineering, mechanobiology, or a closely related field.
  • A demonstrated interest and expertise in biomaterials, mechanobiology, or a related interdisciplinary area.
