The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Application Administrator who will manage, support and optimise our new Scheduling, Time and Attendance product. You will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, integration with SAP ECC6, troubleshooting technical issues, and working closely with internal teams to enhance system performance. This includes managing and coordinating incident and problem investigation response and resolution, monitoring and reporting on system performance, reviewing new system software and updates and managing security administration throughout the application lifecycle. 

The Application Administrator is responsible for ensuring applications are secure, maintained and available according to the support and availability class of the application and provides expert advice to improve business performance and strengthen capability within the CIO Portfolio and across the University. The Application Administrator will also need to work closely with the Time and Attendance Integration team to ensure that integrations suit the project's needs and are fit for purpose. 

To be successful the eligible candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in system administration, preferably in workforce management, time & attendance, or scheduling systems.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ECC6 integration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) and system monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with API integrations, web services (REST/SOAP), and database management (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and data protection policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HRIS or workforce management solutions
  • Proven knowledge of SAP ECC6 HCM and Success Factors 
  • Other enterprise systems for upstream and downstream integrations
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation
