The Opportunity

Drive impactful research at the intersection of data science and critical care.

The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC) at Monash University is seeking a leading researcher to advance a program in Applied Clinical Data Science, Machine Learning and AI. This role offers the chance to lead high-impact projects, mentor emerging researchers, and collaborate across disciplines to transform health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a recognised research program in applied clinical data science and AI
• Publish in leading journals and secure competitive funding
• Supervise staff and students, and mentor early-career researchers
• Build strategic collaborations with academic and industry partners
• Contribute to research policy, governance, and leadership initiatives
  
  

Key Selection Criteria:

• PhD in a relevant field with a strong research track record
• National profile with potential for international leadership
• Demonstrated success in publishing and attracting research funding
• Experience managing research teams and large-scale projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and interdisciplinary research
