The Opportunity
We are seeking highly experienced applicants for a Senior Advisor, Quality and Projects who will play a pivotal role in ensuring institutional compliance with national regulatory frameworks, including the TEQSA Act and ESOS Framework. Working within the Office of Quality and Group Policy, this role leads quality assurance initiatives, provides expert compliance advice, and manages key strategic projects that support Monash’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and effective governance.
This position will be responsible for leading the University’s quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities, and will provide expert advice and analysis to support Monash’s regulatory obligations, including preparing institutional submissions, coordinating audit responses, and developing strategies to maintain compliance. You will monitor, interpret and communicate changes in the higher education regulatory environment and provide in-depth analysis and strategic advice, and develop clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations. Alongside this, the position manages the planning and delivery of policy and quality-related projects that support Monash’s strategic and operational goals, including the development and implementation of change management strategies to support successful project outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in higher education regulatory compliance and quality assurance, with a deep understanding of the TEQSA Act, ESOS Framework, and related governance requirements. You will also have a proven ability to project manage and lead complex projects from planning through to implementation, backed by strong analytical skills and sound judgement. Your communication is clear and impactful, enabling you to produce high-level reports and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
