The Opportunity
The Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture is seeking to appoint a Level A or Level B Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to contribute to a high-impact, interdisciplinary research initiative. This role is designed to advance a collaborative research agenda focused on systems analysis and global policy solutions, supporting the delivery of a flagship Solutions Report to be launched in 2026.
The role provides the opportunity to lead the co-development of research design and coordinate a dynamic, interdisciplinary research coalition. You will be responsible for conducting systems analysis across key regions, managing expert working groups, evaluating solutions, and contributing to high-impact publications. The role also involves stakeholder engagement, supporting an international solutions competition, and driving research mobilisation through events, presentations, and collaborative initiatives.
As the successful candidate, you will bring strong analytical and research design skills, along with a track record of academic publication and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will have experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, and be familiar with international policy frameworks such as the Buildings Breakthrough Agenda. As a Level A, you will demonstrate emerging expertise in policy evaluation, systems thinking, and stakeholder engagement. As a Level B, you will bring proven leadership in applied research, experience supervising junior researchers, and the ability to lead complex, collaborative projects in climate or building sector policy.
