The Opportunity

This position supports the advancement of teaching and scholarship in areas including Human Rights, Ethics, Philosophy of Mind and Cognition, Metaphysics, Philosophy of Religion, and Critical Thinking.
As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and seminars across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as developing and coordinating subject or course material. You will supervise honours and postgraduate research projects, contribute to the department’s research activities, provide academic consultation to students, and participate in assessment, administrative duties, and relevant departmental or faculty committees.
As the successful candidate, you will bring demonstrated teaching experience in a tertiary environment, with a strong ability to develop curriculum and engage students effectively. At Level B, you will have a developing record of research publications, experience in subject design, and the capacity to contribute to collaborative academic work. At Level C, you will demonstrate a sustained record of high-quality research, success in securing external funding, and leadership in research and postgraduate supervision. A strong commitment to scholarly activity and effective collaboration within academic teams is essential.
