The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior Manager, Strategic Space Planning and Information to shape the future of our physical campus environments. This critical leadership role is responsible for identifying and addressing the University’s evolving space and facilities needs through the development of strategic plans and initiatives. By providing expert advice, benchmarking analysis and forward-looking strategies, the Senior Manager will optimise space management across University campuses and position the University to meet the demands of future learning, research, and innovation.
This position will be responsible for defining and delivering the University’s spatial and facilities requirements across 12 month, 3 year and 5 year business development projections. Working in close collaboration with faculties and divisions, the Senior Manager will drive customer-centric planning and contribute to capital planning decisions by linking space data with business performance metrics. The role will oversee space audits, cost management systems, and provide expert advice on sustainable, flexible design solutions. Leading a high-performing team, the Senior Manager will play a key role in enhancing asset management strategies and shaping Monash’s long-term infrastructure outcomes, while also representing the University in industry forums and strengthening strategic partnerships.
To be successful in this role you will have postgraduate qualifications or equivalent expertise, combined with extensive experience in strategic facilities and space management. You bring a proven track record of leading large, complex planning initiatives, strong analytical and reporting capabilities, and expert stakeholder engagement skills. Your ability to influence at senior levels, lead high-performing teams, and drive innovation in systems and processes will be crucial in delivering long-term value and supporting Monash’s vision for a world-class campus experience.
