The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor, Corporate Communications to join our University Marketing, Admissions and Communications (UMAC) Division and make an impact!
In this role, you will apply your advanced communications expertise to lead and deliver complex corporate communications projects that align with the University’s strategic priorities. You will develop and implement effective communication strategies and plans that drive engagement with diverse target audiences and strengthen the Monash brand. Working closely with the Senior Manager and key stakeholders, you will oversee the production of high-impact publications such as the University’s Annual Report, strategic plans, and executive briefings, ensuring all initiatives meet timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
You will also provide expert advice and training to senior management, staff, and students, fostering strong partnerships across business units and external providers. By monitoring performance metrics and continuously improving processes, you will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of communications across multiple channels. This role requires strong organisational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on the University’s reputation and stakeholder expectations.
To succeed in this role, you will have substantial experience in communications planning and delivery, with a proven ability to translate organisational goals into effective university-wide strategies. You will demonstrate strong skills in managing complex communications initiatives from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and deadlines. Highly developed planning and organisational abilities are essential for prioritising tasks and allocating resources efficiently. Excellent relationship management and consulting skills are also required, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
