The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering is seeking a Senior Technical Officer with strong technical expertise and geotechnical experience to deliver high-quality technical services in support of our Geomechanics program.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee and conduct a range of standard and specialist geotechnical tests.
  • Train and supervise students and researchers in safe use of equipment and testing techniques.
  • Maintain a compliant, efficient, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Provide expert advice and technical support to staff, students, and researchers to enable impactful teaching and research outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated hands-on technical experience in geotechnical engineering, with the ability to support complex laboratory operations and contribute to high-quality research outputs.
