The Opportunity

Our Student Academic Success team plays a vital role in supporting students to achieve their academic goals and thrive throughout their studies. We are seeking a dedicated Learning Adviser to join us in delivering programs and services that make a real difference to student success, progress and retention.
The Learning Adviser is responsible for the delivery of programs and services that support students academic success. The position works closely with the Learning Adviser Leads and Program Manager to develop high quality and responsive learning materials and programs to support students’ learning skills, course performance, progress and completion.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for contributing to the development, design and promotion of resources and workshops to support students’ academic success. You will also provide specialist advice to students and work with team leaders to implement a best practice model of Learning Advising across Monash.
This position is central to ensuring our Learning Advising model is relational, accessible, inclusive, intentional and proactive, reflecting Monash’s values and commitment to student success.
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience or expertise in managing technical or administrative areas. Experience and current knowledge of learning and academic skills theory and practice in higher education is required for success in this role.
