The Opportunity
Reporting to the MHWA Board and Monash University’s designated MHWA Board Member, the Associate Professor / Professor (Practice) and Executive Director will co-lead the establishment and delivery of Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work Australia (MHWA) as Australia’s national centre for workplace mental health. The role focuses on providing visionary leadership, translating evidence into practice, and fostering collaboration across government, industry and academia to influence policy and create mentally healthy, high-performing workplaces.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the strategic launch and scale-up of MHWA as a national centre of excellence.
- Driving integrated workstreams in leadership, workplace systems design, and worker wellbeing.
- Overseeing governance, risk, compliance and financial management of significant budgets.
- Building strategic partnerships and securing funding to advance MHWA’s mission.
- Representing MHWA nationally and internationally as its public spokesperson.
