The Opportunity
As Deputy Director, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Centre Director to shape the strategic direction and growth of MCHRI. You will establish and lead a research unit within your field and contribute to the Centre’s expanding research portfolio.
You will work collaboratively across MCHRI, Monash Health and Monash University to strengthen research integration and maximise impact. Your role will also involve guiding major research initiatives, contributing to funding strategies, and fostering a high-performing research culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mentoring and developing research staff and postgraduate students
- Supporting the coordination and management of MCHRI’s research programs and platforms
- Promoting the translation of research into practice and engagement with clinical, academic, and community stakeholders
About you
You are a highly accomplished clinician academic with recognised expertise in women’s health, endocrinology and/or cardiometabolic health. With a doctoral qualification and a strong health professional background, you bring extensive experience in clinical research, implementation science or healthcare improvement.
You have a proven record of leading research programs, securing competitive funding, and publishing in top-tier journals. Collaborative and impact-focused, you are skilled at supporting research teams, mentoring postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates, and building strong partnerships across academic, clinical, and community sectors. You contribute to strategic planning, foster research excellence, and help drive meaningful health outcomes and equity.
