The Opportunity
We have a new opportunity available for a Senior Lecturer (Practice) to contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical skills component of the Monash Mildura GP Academy end-to-end medical program based in Mildura. The position contributes to high-quality tutorials practical classes and small group learning while ensuring curriculum and assessments align with contemporary clinical practice and rural healthcare contexts. This is a fixed-term position for three years with funding confirmed until 30 June 2031.
Working within the Mildura GP Academy and the Monash MD program the position builds strong links between Monash Rural Health Mildura and hospital and community clinical settings. The role supports student development through teaching assessments and pastoral care while contributing to clinical education research and collaborative partnerships that strengthen the school’s profile.
We are seeking a candidate with an advanced qualification in clinical medicine or public health recognised in Australia and current AHPRA medical registration, supported by substantial professional experience. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to high-quality teaching, and the ability to build effective relationships across academic and clinical settings. Experience in curriculum development, assessments, research engagement, and collaborative leadership is expected, along with enthusiasm for fostering an inclusive educational culture.
