The Faculty of Information Technology is seeking an exceptional Group Manager, Research and Graduate Research - a strategic leader ready to drive high-impact initiatives and help define the future of our research ecosystem.

In this pivotal role, you will work alongside the Deputy Dean (Research) and Associate Dean (Graduate Research), providing expert strategic advice and steering the development and execution of the Faculty’s research and graduate research vision, aligned with Impact 2030. Your deep understanding of the national and global research landscape - combined with your knowledge of the University’s strengths - will position you as a key influencer in shaping our long‑term research success.

As our new Group Manager, you will lead and inspire a high‑performing team to deliver a range of critical, forward‑looking activities, including:

  • Driving the identification and conversion of major, high-impact research funding opportunities to meet ambitious growth targets
  • Leading strategic HDR recruitment to nurture a vibrant, innovative research culture
  • Building and strengthening partnerships across industry, government, and academia
  • Enabling meaningful international research collaboration and elevating the Faculty’s global footprint

To thrive in this role, you will bring a relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive experience in postgraduate and research administration. You’ll be known for your ability to build strong relationships, provide high-level strategic advice, and engage effectively with industry, research bodies, and key stakeholders. Your leadership will be instrumental in accelerating the Faculty’s research excellence and innovation agenda.
