The Opportunity
Monash Business School is seeking a Senior Operations and Facilities Coordinator to play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality operational and facilities services across the Clayton and Caulfield campuses.
Reporting to the Operations and Planning Manager, this role leads a small, cross-campus Operations and Facilities team and supports the strategic direction of the Faculty through the coordination of facilities, space, events and operational projects.
You will oversee day-to-day service delivery, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and act as a key liaison between Department Managers, the Facilities Manager and central University teams. The role also provides high-level operational support to academic departments and may step into departmental leadership roles when required to ensure service continuity.
This is a hands-on leadership role, well suited to someone who enjoys balancing people leadership, operational coordination and project delivery in a complex environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating a high-performing Operations and Facilities team across two campuses
- Managing faculty event spaces and shared workspaces, including space optimisation and booking systems
- Supporting facilities-related projects such as relocations, refurbishments and space reviews
- Driving continuous improvement in operational processes, systems and service delivery
- Providing high-level operational support to Department Managers and academic units
- Coordinating compliance activities including health, safety and workplace inspections
- Building strong working relationships with central services, contractors and key stakeholders
- Collecting and reporting on operational data to support informed decision-making
