Remuneration: $83,280 - $113,025 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

Join a dynamic research program funded by the Australian Economic Accelerator (AEA) and the Australian Research Council (ARC) to advance electrochemical biosensors for food and milk quality using microneedle and microfluidic technologies. You will conduct experimental work, analyse data, and share findings through publications and presentations, contributing to the University’s growing research strengths with general guidance.

Working under broad direction, you will develop continuously operating wearable microneedle‑based biosensors and support the project’s delivery through related research, operational, and administrative activities.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting independent and collaborative research, including experimental design, advanced laboratory work, and biosensor testing.

  • Developing wearable biosensing technologies, particularly microneedle‑based systems.

  • Contributing to the academic environment through publications, mentoring postgraduate students, and participating in meetings and limited teaching activities.
