The Opportunity

Working as part of an interdisciplinary team at the interface of basic science and innovation in Chemical Biology, this doctoral-level researcher will be responsible for the design and synthesis of novel molecular architectures with innovative therapeutic mechanisms and disease- or tissue-specific delivery modalities. Experience in targeted drug delivery is highly desirable.

The role will involve designing and synthesising novel compounds, exploring scaffold modifications, and developing practical synthetic strategies.

The candidate will also contribute to the preparation of scientific documentation, publications, and patent filing, and grant applications. Additional responsibilities include mentoring students and supporting general laboratory management.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry discipline. Knowledge of metabolic and fibrosis indications would be advantageous.
