The Opportunity
Join our dynamic academic team as a Lecturer in Nursing, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and advancing scholarly and professional practice. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with a focus on specialised areas such as oncology/cancer care nursing or community nursing. Reporting to the Head of School, you will be actively involved in teaching, curriculum development and clinical engagement while maintaining and growing your research profile.
In this role, you will coordinate subjects and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops and clinical sessions. You will contribute to the development of innovative course materials, support student learning through supervision and consultation and participate in assessment and academic administration. The position also involves collaboration across teams, attendance at meetings and active involvement in research and professional activities that enhance both teaching quality and disciplinary knowledge.
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative professional with a Masters or doctoral qualification in nursing, alongside postgraduate qualifications and expertise in oncology/cancer care nursing or community nursing. You will bring current clinical experience, strong teaching capabilities and a passion for student engagement and research. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia is essential, as is your ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collegial academic environment.
About Nursing and Midwifery - We educate and equip students to be the best nurses and midwives, who will make a genuine and positive difference to their patients, their workplace and in the world of healthcare.
