The Opportunity

The Events and External Relations Coordinator plays a key role in advancing Monash Business School’s strategic engagement goals by delivering high-level administrative, event coordination, and external engagement support. This role supports a range of professional engagement activities, including corporate events, VIP visits, seminars, conferences, and student recruitment initiatives, all aimed at enhancing the Business School’s brand and reputation. Additionally, the Events & External Relations Coordinator works closely with industry partners, potential sponsors, and stakeholders across the Business School and beyond to foster meaningful collaborations and successful engagement outcomes.

As the successful candidate, you will possess exceptional administrative expertise with a proven ability to streamline and implement effective operational systems. You will bring outstanding organisational skills, effectively managing priorities and deadlines with precision. Your commitment to delivering exceptional customer service will be matched by a proactive and hands-on approach to meeting the needs of stakeholders. This role will see you deliver complete end-end event management, including management of promotions, venues, caterers and other event suppliers as well as stakeholders. With strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, your ability to ‘think outside the box’ and use your creative flair will help you deliver exceptional events. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and negotiate successful outcomes.
