The Opportunity

The Aquatic Program Supervisor supports the Aquatics Program Coordinator in the day-to-day delivery of Monash Sport swimming programs and events. This includes supervising casual Learn to Swim instructors, providing high level administrative and client support, and ensuring a safe, engaging aquatic environment.

This position will be responsible for supporting the implementation and supervision of daily swimming programs, working closely with the Aquatics Program Coordinator to oversee Learn to Swim delivery and School Aquatics activities. You will supervise, mentor and provide feedback to casual instructors, support recruitment and rostering, and deliver on-deck instruction and supervision to ensure safe, high-quality aquatic experiences. The role will contribute to program review and development, helping evaluate curriculum effectiveness and identify opportunities to enhance participation and service delivery. You will also support customer service excellence through professional interactions, assist with facility operations, maintain standards relating to safety, child protection and confidentiality, and undertake administrative functions including bookings, enquiries, data entry, reporting, and support for marketing and events.

To be successful in this role you will have current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification, along with CPR, First Aid Level 2 and a Pool Lifeguard certificate. You will bring demonstrated experience in an aquatic environment, with strong knowledge of learn to swim programs and a commitment to ongoing professional practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, enabling you to engage effectively with children, families, colleagues and stakeholders. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong teamwork and leadership capability, a customer-focused approach, and sound administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems, will ensure success delivering high-quality aquatic programs.

This role will be required to work on site across five days per week (typically Sunday to Thursday), comprising a combination of day and evening shifts.
