The Opportunity
The Monash Business School is seeking a Senior Student Services Officer to join their team to provide high-quality administrative support to the delivery of effective, best-practice student and academic services across the School. With a strong focus on operational excellence, the role supports all aspects of the student lifecycle, including prospective and current student enquiries, admissions, enrolment, orientation and transition, course progression and completion, as well as a range of co-curricular programs. The position also involves contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of these programs, while providing expert support in resolving complex student, course and program-related matters through a case management approach.
Operating with sound judgement and a strong commitment to service excellence, the Senior Student Services Officer provides timely advice and support to students, staff and stakeholders, while managing complex administrative activities including scheduling, project coordination, reporting and committee support. The role ensures compliance with University and legislative requirements, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and works within a specialist functional area while collaborating with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality services across campuses.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will bring excellent administrative and organisational skills, with a proven ability to develop effective processes, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service through a hands-on approach, combined with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative.
You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with highly developed written and verbal communication skills to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and navigate complex issues. Your advanced computer literacy, including experience with student administration systems or the ability to quickly learn new platforms, will support your delivery of high-quality front-line services in a dynamic and complex educational environment.
