The Opportunity
Monash University Library is seeking a dynamic Academic Services Lead to join our team. This isn't just a management role; it’s an opportunity to act as a strategic architect for library services in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will lead a dedicated team of professional librarians, transforming how we support the researchers and educators who are changing the world.

- Collaborate Strategically: Act as a crucial conduit between Library Business Partners and Academic Services Librarians, ensuring our services align perfectly with the university’s evolving priorities.
- Influence the Sector: Stay at the forefront of global trends, ensuring Monash remains a leader in research and education support.
Who You Are
You are a sophisticated communicator and a seasoned project navigator who thrives in a matrix environment. You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Expertise in Higher Education: A deep understanding of the research and education landscape.
- Leadership Prowess: Proven experience managing teams through complexity with empathy and clear direction.
- An Agile Mindset: The ability to drive project lifecycles from ideation to implementation, ensuring high standards and mitigated risks.
- Analytical Rigour: A knack for using data and performance measures to streamline reporting and provide expert advice to management.
Qualifications: You hold postgraduate qualifications in Librarianship, Information Management, or Education (qualifying for ALIA membership), or possess an equivalent blend of extensive management expertise and professional experience.
