The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic technology team responsible for delivering and supporting critical network services across international campuses such as Monash University Malaysia (MUM). In this role, you will contribute to the strategic planning, design and implementation of network infrastructure that enables exceptional service delivery, innovation and continuous improvement across multiple campuses and sites.
Working closely with stakeholders, vendors and technical teams, you will lead and support a range of network projects, provide expert technical advice and act as a senior escalation point for complex networking issues. You will analyse network performance, identify opportunities for improvement and help ensure the reliability, security and efficiency of the University's network services.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in:
- Enterprise Campus networking, with a focus on Cisco Catalyst switching and Network Access Control (dot1x, ISE).
- Cloud networking (AWS), Cloud Direct Connect routing and BGP internet routing
- IPSec VPN and knowledge of Palo Alto Global Protect and Firewalls, NAT
- Advanced knowledge of subnetting, ACLs etc.
- Cisco Nexus Data Centre switching experience.
