The Opportunity
As the Associate Director, Capability and Performance, you will shape the University’s enterprise‑wide approach to talent, capability and organisational development. You’ll set the strategic direction for how Monash builds, develops and sustains a future‑ready workforce, designing the frameworks, standards and architecture that underpin learning, capability, performance, talent and succession, and engagement across the institution.
In this role, you’ll lead a specialist team and operate as a senior enterprise advisor, ensuring our organisational development systems are integrated, scalable and aligned to University priorities. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners and the broader Talent, Reward and Mobility leadership team to drive a cohesive, insight‑led approach to workforce capability and cultural evolution.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent, Reward and Mobility, you’ll play a central role in shaping long‑term workforce strategy and strengthening the organisational conditions that enable our people to thrive and perform at their best.
About You
You’re a senior organisational development leader with the strategic mindset, judgement and influence to shape enterprise‑wide capability, talent and performance systems. You know how to translate complex workforce challenges into clear, scalable frameworks that lift organisational effectiveness and build long‑term capability.
You bring relevant qualifications and deep expertise in talent management, learning, performance and organisational development, along with the ability to prioritise what matters most and focus effort on high‑impact, enterprise‑level outcomes. With credibility, clarity and an enterprise perspective, you will lead this critical function and guide the University toward a more aligned, future-ready workforce.
