The Opportunity

Monash University is seeking an innovative and collaborative Financial Inclusion Project Officer to drive initiatives focused on reducing financial barriers and enhancing equity outcomes across the student lifecycle. Based at our vibrant Clayton campus within the Access, Inclusion and Success team, you will consult, research, and lead the development of a tailored Financial Inclusion Action Plan (FIAP) in alignment with national frameworks. This pivotal role brings together various student financial support mechanisms and collaborates closely with our Scholarships team to design and deploy targeted campaigns that optimise scholarship acceptance rates among equity cohorts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced project officer looking to combine strategic planning with meaningful community impact.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing strategic projects, driving multiple milestones concurrently, and utilising project management software, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of preparing strategic documents, formal reports and designing targeted communications and marketing campaigns
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, collaborate with, and gain cooperation from a wide range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated understanding of the structural and financial barriers impacting higher education access and success for under-represented student groups
