The Opportunity
The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is home to some of Australia's most ambitious research programs, and the team driving that ambition needs an experienced research management professional to help shape what comes next. This is a continuing, full-time opportunity for a Senior Research Manager to lead with confidence and make a measurable difference to research outcomes across the faculty.
What You'll Be Leading
- Provide strategic oversight of research grants and contracts, from pre-award development through to reporting
- Partner with academic and professional staff to identify funding opportunities and strengthen grant applications
- Manage compliance with funding body requirements, institutional policy, and relevant legislation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of research management systems, processes, and capability across the team
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience managing complex research grants within a university or large research organisation
- Sound knowledge of Australian competitive funding schemes, including ARC and NHMRC frameworks
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with academic staff and senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail across budgets, contracts, and compliance requirements
- Experience working in research administration
