The Opportunity

As a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Radiography, you will help shape the next generation of medical imaging professionals through high-quality teaching, clinical engagement and scholarly and research activity. Joining Monash University’s Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences, you will contribute to the Bachelor of Radiography and Medical Imaging (Honours), while supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and developing your scholarly, research and professional profile. At Level C, you will make a significant contribution to teaching and research, with opportunities to coordinate subjects, lead research projects and supervise honours and postgraduate research students.

This position will contribute to innovative face-to-face, online and blended teaching across radiography and medical imaging, drawing on contemporary research and industry practice. You will contribute to lectures, tutorials, practical and clinical learning, assessment and subject coordination, while supporting students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. You will also undertake scholarly and research activities, contribute to publications and research projects, and develop professional and clinical partnerships. At Level B, you will make a strong contribution to teaching, scholarly activity and professional engagement, with opportunities to develop research capability and contribute to subject and curriculum development. At Level C, you will take a greater role in research activity, subject or course coordination, postgraduate supervision and the development of professional and clinical partnerships.

To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor’s or Master degree in Medical Imaging/Radiography or equivalent accreditation and standing, and ideally a doctoral or master’s by research qualification in Medical Imaging/Radiography or a related field. You will have current or eligible registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA) and a radiation licence. You will bring tertiary teaching experience in radiography and medical imaging, with expertise in areas such as CT, MRI and/or image interpretation, alongside demonstrated engagement in scholarly and research activities. For Level B, you will demonstrate the capacity to contribute effectively to teaching, subject material development, research and professional activities. For Level C, you will demonstrate a strong record of tertiary teaching and research, including subject coordination, research publications, postgraduate supervision and the capacity to develop research projects and professional partnerships.
