The Opportunity
The Healthy Brain Hub is seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to improving access to cognitive assessment through digital brain health approaches. Based within the School of Psychological Sciences and Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health, the position will support study coordination, data collection and management, data analysis and evaluation of a digital brain health assessment platform across clinical settings. The role will also contribute to research protocols, ethics applications, funding activities and research outputs.
The position will contribute to the scientific program through the analysis and interpretation of research data, preparation of manuscripts and conference presentations, and the development of research questions and ideas. It will also support the research environment through collaboration with colleagues and the supervision and mentoring of research assistants and students. The role provides an opportunity to apply advanced statistical methods, including mixed effects, survival, growth curve and prediction models, to research in neuropsychology, epidemiology, neurodegenerative disease and cognitive disorders.
We are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification, or near completion of a doctoral qualification, in Psychology, Neuroepidemiology, Neuroscience, Neurology or a related discipline, together with demonstrated analytical and manuscript preparation skills and a record of refereed research publications. Knowledge of neuropsychology and epidemiological methods, advanced statistical analysis using programs such as R or SAS, and strong planning, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are also important for this role.
