The Opportunity

The School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to support the Transfusion Research Unit in delivering high-quality, investigator-initiated clinical trials. In this role, you’ll oversee trial activities from site set-up and staff training through to data monitoring, reporting and completion, contributing to high-impact research outcomes.

Working closely with hospital sites, investigators and research partners, you’ll provide expert advice and coordinate essential clinical trial activities, including HREC and regulatory submissions, contracts, documentation and investigator meetings. You’ll also support the day-to-day delivery of trials, ensuring research protocols, quality standards and patient safety requirements are consistently met.

We’re seeking an experienced clinical research professional with demonstrated clinical trial coordination experience and a current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certificate. You’ll bring strong project management, analytical and organisational skills, along with the confidence to work independently, build effective stakeholder relationships and provide specialist advice across complex research activities.

Previous experience conducting investigator-initiated trials and on-site monitoring visits will be highly regarded.
