The Opportunity
Join the Rheumatology Research Lab at Monash University as a Senior Research Fellow and contribute to high-quality translational research exploring innate and adaptive immunity. The Rheumatology group is a world-famous cluster of clinical and laboratory researchers with five externally funded teams and a strong focus on translating research into clinical practice. The position will contribute to externally funded and international pharmaceutical industry-funded projects focused on glucocorticoids, emerging targeted therapies and human autoimmune diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus.
The position will undertake research across established programs and contribute to the delivery and coordination of research projects, including publications, conference papers, external funding proposals and research project management. The role will provide day-to-day supervision and mentoring of Research Assistants and PhD students, collaborate with clinician colleagues and research teams, and contribute to honours and postgraduate supervision and occasional teaching.
We are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, subsequent research experience and a strong record of publications and research outputs. You will bring experience securing significant external funding, supervising and developing research staff and students, and contributing to successful research teams. Strong organisational, communication and research management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively are also essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highly collaborative research environment and advance translational research in autoimmune disease. We look forward to receiving your application.
