Dugald River mine is one of the world’s top 10 Zinc mine operations, which has been producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since 2017.

The mine is committed to a low-carbon future. In April 2023 the Dugald River Solar Farm began operations, supplying a third of the mine’s power, and reducing emissions by 33% and this is just the start of its renewable energy transition.

Dugald River employs around 800 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.

Leading Hand - Processing

Fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career with MMG. Reporting to the Supervisor-Processing, you will provide supervision to the team and support the day-to-day Operation of the Processing Plant operations.

To be successful in this role, you will have a positive attitude, high levels of motivation and a commitment to safe work practices.

This is a permanent position on a roster of the following - 8 days on, 7 days off/ 7 nights on, 6 nights off. Various transport arrangements are available including:

• Daily Bus in Bus out (BIBO) from Cloncurry or Mount Isa
• Fly in Fly out (FIFO) from Townsville or Brisbane.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Operating areas of the processing plant as required and / or delegated by the Process Supervisor.
• Support Process Supervisor with the day to day Operation of the Process Plant and ROM Operations.
• Assisting with the training of operators and ensuring that all relevant documents for areas are completed
• Assisting with preparation of shutdown planning and execution.
• Assist others to/and creating Management of Change documents (MOC) and ensuring MOC’s are completed as Site procedure
• Assist with the preparation of the weekly safety meeting and run as directed.
