Logistics Team Leader

Abbotsford Brewery | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Your Impact

As a Logistics Team Leader, you'll play a critical role in leading warehouse operations at our iconic Abbotsford Brewery. Managing a team of 8-11 operators across a 24/5 operation, you'll be responsible for driving operational performance, maintaining compliance, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of product across our supply chain.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be making decisions in real-time, solving operational challenges, and building strong relationships with your team to deliver outstanding business outcomes. You'll join a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and where your leadership will have a direct impact on operational success.

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern, with weekly rotations across day, afternoon and night shifts.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse operators to achieve safety, service and performance objectives
  • Drive compliance with workplace agreements, policies, procedures and operational standards
  • Manage employee relations matters in unionised environments with professionalism and respect
  • Coordinate labour planning, rostering, leave management and timekeeping activities
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to drive efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Ensure effective communication and handovers across all shifts and operational teams
  • Monitor warehouse performance through key operational metrics and KPIs
  • Support inventory accuracy through stock reconciliation, stock investigations and warehouse controls
  • Utilise systems including SAP and Warehouse Management Systems to support daily operations
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Brewing, Packaging, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain teams

About You

You're an experienced frontline leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You know how to balance people leadership with operational execution and can confidently navigate complex workforce and industrial relations situations.

You'll bring:

  • Experience leading teams within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, transport or supply chain environments
  • Previous experience as a Team Leader, Shift Supervisor or Operations Supervisor
  • Strong people leadership and coaching capability
  • Experience managing employee relations matters and working within structured workplace agreements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels
  • A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to operational excellence
  • Experience using SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar operational systems (advantageous)
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements (advantageous)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
