Your Impact
As a member of the On-Premise team, you will take ownership of the exceptional execution of our national Sponsorship and Events strategy in New Zealand. You will work across high-profile partnerships and iconic Kiwi events, bringing brand experiences to life through strong customer partnerships, commercial thinking and first-class event delivery.
This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover opportunity based in Parnell, with hybrid working and national travel as events require. You will join a collaborative team and operate with a high level of autonomy across a varied portfolio, from customer and site planning through to event execution, budgeting and evaluation.
Key responsibilities
The role will also take ownership of the signing, planning, execution and evaluation of events and sponsorships for ABNZ and are a key contributor to the development of our sponsorship & event approach.
- Support the Head of On Premise to develop and deliver the Sponsorship & Event strategy, aligned with Brand, Portfolio and Sales strategies.
- Lead end-to-end event planning and execution, including customer workplans, site requirements, assets, stock, logistics and post-event evaluation.
- Drive alignment across partners, agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Brand, Customer Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.
- Manage sponsorship and event budgets, commercial agreements and ROI measurement, using insights to improve future activity.
- Provide leadership on event design, innovation, environmental impact and safety, while supporting new business and partnership opportunities.
About You
We are seeking an energetic and commercially minded events professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. You will be comfortable working autonomously, influencing a broad stakeholder group and bringing multiple workstreams together under tight event timelines.
- Hands-on events experience, ideally including complex site builds, stock and logistics coordination, and delivery within short timeframes.
- Experience managing and leveraging sponsorships, customer partnerships or major brand activations.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills across internal and external partners.
- High-level project management, budgeting and communication skills, with the ability to track and measure ROI.
