Business Development Executive – Independent Retail

At Asahi Beverages, our sales team is at the heart of bringing some of Australia's most recognised beverage brands to customers every day.

We're looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to take ownership of a well-established territory across Perth's Central Metro. You'll build strong relationships with independent bottle shops and grocery retailers, helping customers grow their business while driving distribution, visibility and sales across our market-leading portfolio of alcoholic and non-alcoholic brands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FMCG field sales professional who enjoys autonomy, thrives on building long-term customer relationships and wants to be part of a high-performing team.


What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing a metro territory across Perth's Central region, including areas such as Claremont, Cottesloe, Osborne Park, the CBD, Balga and Mirrabooka.
  • Building trusted partnerships with independent grocery and liquor customers.
  • Growing distribution, volume and profitability across your territory.
  • Negotiating promotional activity, pricing and in-store execution opportunities.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase ranging, space, visibility and sales performance.
  • Reviewing customer performance and using data to build effective territory plans.
  • Executing Asahi's "One Asahi" strategy across both alcoholic and non-alcoholic categories.
  • Maintaining consistent call coverage across approximately 24 customer visits each week.
  • Delivering merchandising excellence and ensuring promotional compliance in store.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working in the field, building genuine customer relationships and finding commercial opportunities.

You'll also bring:

  • Previous FMCG field sales or territory management experience.
  • Experience managing grocery, liquor or independent retail customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence customer decisions.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify growth opportunities.
  • A current unrestricted Australian driver's licence.

A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded but is not essential.
