Your Impact
Join our Wulkuraka, QLD manufacturing site in a key leadership role and help shape a strong quality culture by translating the national strategy into clear, effective action at site level. You will lead the site’s quality and food safety agenda, maintain critical systems and drive compliance with regulatory, customer and company requirements. Day to day, you will work across manufacturing, quality and external partners to resolve non-conformance, strengthen process capability and keep improvement priorities moving. You will also lead the site quality team and support change that improves productivity and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the site quality and food safety agenda, maintaining quality systems and procedures including ISO 9001, food safety plans and Critical Control Point deviation reporting.
- Drive compliance with national and site GMP standards, regulatory obligations, customer requirements and the Alcohol Management System for Customs and ATO requirements.
- Resolve product and material non-conformance by ensuring testing is completed, data is recorded, corrective action is taken and significant issues are escalated.
- Manage internal and external quality audits, implementing corrective actions that strengthen site operations and ongoing compliance.
- Develop the quality team through performance planning, development plans, talent reviews and succession management while facilitating change and improved organisational effectiveness.
About You
- You bring Quality Management experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- You hold tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Food Science or a related discipline, supported by qualifications or experience in Microbiology, Chemistry, Applied Science or a related field.
- You can apply strong knowledge of ISO standards, AQIS and HACCP principles, together with quality systems and food safety programmes.
- You demonstrate sound problem-solving and audit capability when working through quality, compliance and process issues.
- You build effective relationships across manufacturing operations, quality teams, regulatory authorities, laboratories, contract packers and other external partners.
