Your Impact

Own your patch. Build trusted partnerships. Help great brands win in store.

As a Business Development Executive, you will manage an established independent retail territory across Canberra North, with regular trips to Goulburn, Yass and Crookwell. You will partner with independent bottle shops and grocery customers to grow distribution, improve promotional execution and identify practical opportunities to increase sales, visibility and brand presence.

You will typically visit up to six customers each day and manage a regular fortnightly call cycle. This is a hands-on field sales role with plenty of variety, autonomy and customer contact. FMCG experience is helpful, but it is not essential. If you are confident in sales, organised on the road and keen to learn, we can teach you the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 60 independent liquor and grocery customers
  • Plan and deliver an effective fortnightly customer call cycle
  • Build strong relationships with independent owners and store teams
  • Sell in products, promotions and business initiatives with a value-led approach
  • Grow distribution, volume, visibility and brand presence across the territory
  • Identify opportunities in range, space, pricing and promotional execution
  • Review territory performance, maintain follow-up and deliver against sales targets
  • Work independently in the field while contributing to a supportive local and virtual team

About You

You are a practical, motivated salesperson who enjoys meeting customers, building rapport and getting things done. You do not need to come from FMCG. Your experience may be in retail, hospitality, real estate, fashion or another customer-facing sales environment.

  • Customer-facing sales experience and confidence influencing others
  • Strong planning, organisation and follow-through
  • A resilient, positive approach to changing systems and priorities
  • Comfort working autonomously and managing your own day
  • A genuine learning mindset and willingness to be coached
  • A current full Australian driver licence
  • FMCG, liquor, grocery, merchandising or territory experience is helpful, not essential

What's on Offer

  • Fully maintained tool-of-trade vehicle, including fuel and servicing, for business and personal use
  • Mobile phone and laptop
  • Free non-alcohol drinks and access to applicable hospitality and leisure benefits
  • Access to alcoholic beverages through Drinks Cart
  • Career development within a large beverage business and exposure to an iconic portfolio
  • A close-knit Canberra office team, backed by a broader national sales network
