Your Impact
We’re looking for a data-driven and commercially savvy Category Analyst to join our high-performing team. You will be responsible for turning raw data into powerful insights that support category and commercial strategy across key customers. You will also play a key role in managing external agency relationships, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of category-related projects and tools.
You will support the Senior Manager – Category Projects and Space by leading relationships with external data and shopper insight partners, ensuring the seamless delivery of services. You’ll also work closely with the Space and Range Planner, collaborating with key stakeholders to develop impactful category layouts and space allocation strategies that drive improved performance and commercial growth across Asahi’s portfolio.
About the Role
- Lead external agency relationships, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Maintain and distribute category reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for key stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support shopper analytics projects, maintain space management tools, and develop planograms for category reviews and NPD presentations.
- Act as a Space subject matter expert, supporting Category Managers and Sales in customer engagements, range reviews, and space planning initiatives.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Strong data analytics skills, including experience with scan/shopper data and turning insights into action highly regarded
- Experience in FMCG or Liquor, ideally with major retailers such as Woolworths, Coles, ALM, or Endeavour highly regarded
- Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced) and familiar with range and space tools like Blue Yonder highly regarded
- Excellent presentation, planning, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders both internally and externally.
