Your Impact
As a Category Insights & Perfect Store Manager at Asahi Beverages New Zealand, you will play a pivotal role in shaping category growth strategies and delivering our Perfect Store vision across key retail channels. You will partner with customers and internal teams to identify and activate growth opportunities, enhance in-store execution standards, and drive category performance through data-led insights. Key Accountabilities

• Lead the translation of Category Growth & Channel Strategies into Joint Business Plans, Range Reviews, and NPD initiatives
• Develop and implement Perfect Store standards, including range architecture, shelf layouts, displays, and space planning
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Activation teams to align strategic direction and deliver tailored category initiatives
• Utilise shopper and scan data to uncover insights and create compelling category sell stories for customers
• Monitor and track NPD and Perfect Store performance, providing corrective actions as needed
• Support key customer engagement forums, delivering actionable insights that drive category growth

About You

• 2–5 years’ FMCG experience in Sales, Category Development, or Marketing, with a commercial focus
• Proven track record in developing and executing category strategies
• Strong understanding of retail and shopper behaviour, with experience using data tools (e.g., Nielsen, Quantium)
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills, both verbal and visual
• Commercially astute, customer-focused, and skilled at influencing across multiple stakeholders
• Agile, results-driven, and able to manage complexity while delivering strategic outcomes
