Environment, Safety and Wellbeing Manager – Allpress Espresso
Job no: 503418
Work type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Melbourne
Categories: Corporate Support Functions
Your Impact:
This role is responsible for lifting safety maturity across a growing, multi‑site business at a time of meaningful change. You will partner closely with senior leaders to set clear priorities, shape the safety agenda, and ensure expectations translate into practical, everyday behaviours on site.
Working across Victorian operations, with regular time in Reservoir (or Collingwood) and Southbank, you will combine strategic leadership with hands‑on engagement. You will also drive accountability and work with stakeholders across Australia, New Zealand and globally, supporting broader initiatives and evolving operational needs. A key focus will be understanding the current state, identifying gaps, and building a commercially grounded approach that delivers measurable improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders to set and deliver the safety and wellbeing strategy across multiple sites
- Assess current operations to identify risk, gaps and priorities, and build practical improvement plans aligned to business needs
- Lead risk management activity, including risk assessments and incident investigations, with a strong focus on frontline and manual handling risks
- Use data, trends and frontline insight to measure performance, track progress and report outcomes, including cost and investment considerations
- Ensure sites remain audit‑ready by translating group safety standards into clear, workable processes and coaching leaders to build ownership
About You:
You are a senior safety professional with sound judgement, credibility and a practical mindset. You balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, moving comfortably between site‑based conversations and executive discussions.
Your influence comes through relationships, with a clear understanding that meaningful, sustainable improvement is driven by engagement rather than enforcement. You are confident articulating risk, opportunity and cost in a way senior leaders trust.
You will bring:
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent
- 5–7 years’ experience in a safety role across multi-site operations
- Experience within manufacturing, hospitality, or similarly hands-on operational environments
- Proven experience working with senior leaders to define strategy, set objectives, and deliver measurable outcomes
- Experience identifying gaps, building structured plans, and tracking success against clear metrics
- Strong capability in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, safety frameworks, and audit requirements
- A pragmatic, flexible approach with the ability to prioritise and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
