About the role

This is a full time permanent opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

This role will manage inventory purchases based on Stanwell’s demand and supply planning requirements; and create and maintain accuracy of Stanwell’s Inventory Master Data cataloguing profile in the dedicated ERP system.

Key activities include:

  • Create and maintain demand planning profile for all inventory relating to Stanwell’s Asset Maintenance Strategy within the ERP system.
  • Review transition of all Inventory planned orders reflected in Stanwell’s ERP system in a timely manner, to meet requirements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Minimise inventory stock outs and supply shortfalls by regularly monitoring work order requisitions and open purchase orders. Expedite material supply as required.
  • Create and maintain master data for all inventory stock codes and ensure accuracy within the Stanwell ERP system.
  • Assist with execution of the Inventory Optimisation Strategy and associated Inventory and warehousing improvement projects.
  • Communicate and negotiate directly with key customers, to identify business needs in terms of demand planning profile, technical, functional, and performance parameters.  

About you

  • Extensive experience in the control of inventory, relating to asset management, maintenance management, operations and logistics.
  • Proven ability to apply planning and execution of inventory management strategies and techniques. A decision making individual with exemplary customer and stakeholder relationship focussed attitude.
  • Experience in total life cycle management of inventory, including introduction and disposal methods.
  • A strong working knowledge and understanding of key inventory performance metrics, such as Inventory Turns, Aged Inventory, etc.
  • Strong materials knowledge and attention to detail and working knowledge of purchasing and warehousing functions.
